Welcome to Westchase!

Westchase is a master-planned, deed restricted community encompassing over 2000 acres. This quiet enclave is located in western Hillsborough County near the Hillsborough/Pinellas County line. The community is easily accessible from the Veteran’s Expressway, Linebaugh Avenue and Racetrack Road. It is near the Tampa International Airport and three major malls – Westfield Citrus Park, International Plaza, and Westfield Westshore.

This award winning community boasts hundreds of acres of preserved land, an 18-hole public golf course, multiple parks, nature trails, a soccer field and two swim and tennis centers. Within Westchase’s boundaries are Westchase Elementary School and Davidsen Middle School.

The community is composed of multiple villages in varying price ranges. There are single family homes, townhomes, condos, patio homes, and apartments to accommodate most people’s needs/desires. There are also gated villages and a neo-traditional village.

The West Park Village Town Center, The Avenues, and the Publix Supermarket center cover the basics for the residents--retail shops, markets, cafes, banks, restaurants, professional offices, daycare, preschools, and coffee shops.

The villages of Westchase comprising the over 3000 residences are:

Bennington Glenfield The Shires
Berkeley Square The Greens The Vineyards
The Bridges Harbor Links/The Estates West ParkVillage
The Enclave Keswick Forest Woodbay
The Fords Radcliffe

Nathan Lafer Good Neighbor Award Nominations

It’s that time of year again for Westchase Residents to nominate a resident to be considered for the NATHAN LAFER AWARD. The WCA Board will be honoring a neighbor who has shown Great Spirit and recognize a resident who has helped and volunteered for the community to improve the quality of life in Westchase. As a past president quoted, “Westchase is a better community today because of the tireless contributions from Nathan Lafer”.

In 2006, the WCA Board established the Nathan Lafer Award and the first award recipient, Brian Kennedy, a resident of the Bridges, was honored in December 2006. Other award recipients include Ralph Caputo (2007) and Jim Mills (2008). It is time again for residents to nominate a resident for the 4th Annual Nathan Lafer Award. We have attached a copy of the description of the award and a nomination form.

We want to encourage residents to take the time to review the material relating to the Nathan Lafer Award and think seriously of a resident they would like to nominate. This is a great award and a great opportunity to acknowledge a resident who has made a great contribution to the Westchase community.  All nominations should be returned to the WCA office no later than August 31, 2009. The Board will review the list of candidates at the September Board Meeting and will honor the recipient of the award at the October Board Meeting.
