Community Development Districts

General background

Community Development Districts are statutorily created governmental entities charged with the task of maintaining the common areas in planned communities. Westchase currently has two Community Development Districts, both of which were created under Chapter 190, Florida Statutes. The first district to be established in Westchase was the Westchase Community Development District (The CDD), which serves the villages west of Radcliffe. More recently, the Westchase East Community Development District (The CDD-East), which serves villages east of Radcliffe (but not including Radcliffe), was created.

The CDD and The CDD-East are separate governmental agencies with independent budgets and Supervisory Boards. However, they have historically pooled resources and shared expenses by operating under an agreement to proportionally divide the expense associated with the operation and maintenance of the common areas.

Countryway S&T Center Parking Lot Upgrades

On Tuesday, March 9, 2010, the parking lot at the Countryway Swim & Tennis Center will be undergoing asphalt repairs. The following week, Wed - Sat, March 17-20, the parking lot wil be striped and sealed in two sections. As a result of these repairs, portions of the parking lot will be unavailable at various times. All work will be completed weather permitting.
 
Time Changes

The West Park Village Pool will be opening on May 3, 2010. The hours are: 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Swim & Tennis Center on Countryway hours will be: 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. On May 30, 2010 the hours will be: 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
